Organized in 1864, we are theBricklayers Local 1, and the first Labor Union and Local of any trade west of the Mississippi River. The Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Administrative Council of Eastern Missouri represents Local 1 of Missouri bricklayers, stone, pointers/cleaners/caulkers and marble masons, and Local 18 of Missouri tilesetters, terrazzo and mosaic workers.
We take pride in the fact that we've built St. Louis, and that our leadership has taken care of the membership of this Union for more than 150 years, and will continue to do so for many more.

On Thursday, February 3, 2023, the ADC Officers were joined by our late Pension Director Gary Juenger's family to present scholarship awards to our first group of recipients. Each applicant submitted an essay along with their application paperwork for the Officers to review, and each applicant beautifully described what their parent's Membership in this Union has provided their family.
